Finally, after overcoming bureaucratic issues, FC Andorra announces that Martín Merquelanz will be part of the tricolor squad until the end of the season. The agreement with the player had been finalized weeks ago, but the definitive incorporation could not be processed until today, once the immigration quotas in the country were reopened.
Martín Merquelanz (Irun, 12/6/1995) arrives as a free agent to the Principality. Merquelanz, with experience in the First and Second divisions, ended his association with Real Sociedad on June 30 after a long career with the Donostia-based team.
In his best year, the forward from Irun scored 15 goals with Mirandés in the Second division during the 2019/20 season, but a knee injury later disrupted his career. Last season, he played for Eibar, where he appeared in 15 matches.
