Lleida wins Emili Vicente Trophy

Lleida has beaten Andorra and won the sixth edition of the Emili Vicente trophy. Terra Ferma team, as they did two and three summers ago, were superior to the tricolour team, which was not very successful today, and they overturned Álex Calvo's opening goal.

Just getting started, Andorra took the lead after a quick transition led by Álvaro Martín that Álex Calvo finished with a great maneuver. From 1-0, Ferran Costa's men dominated, although they did not end up troubling the visiting goal. This is how the minutes went by, until in the final stretch of the break, Lleida took a step forward. Adri Gené converted a penalty (42') and in the following minutes, the Blues enjoyed two more or less dangerous arrivals.

Not a good second half

This final stretch of the first half was the prelude to what would be seen at the restart. In the first 25 minutes, the tricolours were completely outmatched against a more intense Lleida who enjoyed three clear chances before the 1-2. Oier saved an 1v1 against Unai, but he was unable to prevent the visiting attacker's goal a few minutes later (62').

After the goal and the changes, Andorra took a step forward and it is true that in the final stretch they looked with intent to equalize. A few minutes later, Manu Nieto was close to scoring after a back pass from Almpanis, while Lleida were able to score on the counterattack. In the end, the result did not change and Lleida took home the trophy in the form of coach Emili Vicente.
