Andorra has reached an agreement with Deportivo Alavés to permanently sign goalkeeper Jesús Owono. The international goalkeeper with Equatorial Guinea has signed for the next two seasons with an option to extend the contract two more years.
Jesús Owono (Bata, Equatorial Guinea, 03/01/2001) is already well-acquainted with the club after guarding the tricolor goal last season. Trained in the Deportivo Alavés academy, he debuted with the first team in La Liga in 2022 and has gained experience in both La Liga and the Second Division. Additionally, he has been a full international with the Equatorial Guinea national team since 2019 and has participated in two editions of the Africa Cup of Nations.
With his return, Andorra brings in a goalkeeper who is already familiar with the club's demands, playing style, and tricolor locker room. At 25 years old, Owono will provide security, experience, and continuity between the posts for a squad that continues to take shape for this season.
Reflexes, security, and control of the area to strengthen the tricolor goalkeeping.
Welcome back, Jesús!
