This year's Africa Cup of Nations will have a tricolor representative: Jesús Owono, goalkeeper of Andorra, has been called up by Equatorial Guinea, one of the 24 teams participating in the continent's top national team competition.
Owono, who is not training this week and will definitely miss this Saturday's match against Deportivo, is usually the starting goalkeeper for the Equatorial Guinea national team. In this way, he will become the first FC Andorra player to participate in an international tournament of this kind.
Equatorial Guinea has been placed in Group E with Algeria, Burkina Faso, and Sudan and will debut on December 24 in Casablanca.
