FC Andorra has reached an agreement with Ibai Gómez to become the new coach of the FC Andorra first team. The Basque coach, who signs for two seasons, will lead the tricolour ship in our club's second stage in professional football.
Ibai Gómez (Bilbao, 11/11/1989) is a young coach with an emerging career but who has already experienced his first great success this last season. Gómez began his time as a coach at the Santutxu youth team, the club where he trained as a footballer, and after a brief period with the Dominican Republic national team in the Olympic Games in Paris, he signed for Arenas de Getxo, a team with which he achieved promotion to the Primera RFEF this past season.
Previously, as a player, Ibai has extensive experience in professional football, highlighting his career in LaLiga in the ranks of Athletic Club and Alavés. In total he played 226 games in LaLiga 1 and more than twenty matches in the Champions League and Europa League.

He will arrive at the FC Andorra bench accompanied by four men he trusts the most and with whom he already shared a project at Arenas de Getxo. These are Iñigo Larriqueta and David Vinatea, who will be assistant coaches, physical trainer Adolfo Madrid and nutritionist Daniel Soriano.
We give Ibai Gómez and all of them a warm welcome and wish them much success in this new stage. Your luck will be ours!
