Hugo López has given his first statements as an FC Andorra player after securing a spot in the starting eleven during the 5-1 victory against Ceuta. The Murcian forward, trained at Villarreal, expressed his happiness with the warm welcome he received: "Super welcomed by the whole team, both by the staff and teammates, and the country has seemed incredible to me," he explained.
López stated that he has quickly adapted to the playing style, which is different from what he was used to but suits his characteristics well: "It fits very well with my qualities, and that has made everything much easier."
When asked about his position, he described himself as a versatile player: "I can play as a 9, a winger, and an attacking midfielder." Although he acknowledged that attacking midfield would be his ideal position, he declared himself comfortable as a winger, while with the Spanish U-19 team, he played as a center forward: "I can't tell you what my position is."
