Andorra achieved their first victory of the preseason by defeating Qatar's Al-Rayyan thanks to a goal from Théo Le Normand. The tricolors dominated from the start but picked up the pace in the second half when the team created scoring opportunities.
The start of the match was a bit sluggish, with Andorra controlling possession and the Asian team trying to cause trouble through their most skillful players. However, Ibai Gómez's side struggled to create dangerous chances near the opponent's goal, while Al-Rayyan forced Owono into action on a few set-piece plays.
Le Normand Scores the First
In the second half, Andorra came out with the same intent but began to reach the opponent's area more easily. In the 60th minute, the goal came: Martí Vilà recovered the ball, Minsu drove forward and assisted Théo Le Normand, who beat the goalkeeper with a beautiful chip.
From that point on, the game tilted towards the Asian team's goal, with a dominant Andorra looking for a second. Manu Nieto, very active, tried with a left-footed shot and later assisted Uzkudun, who couldn't push the ball into the back of the net.
In the end, a narrow victory and good feelings to wrap up the stage in Pinatar.
