FC Andorra get a convincent win

After two game away, Andorra celebrated their return to Estadi Nacional with a convincing victory. Ferran Costa's men struggled a little at the start against a well-placed opponent who pressed man to man, but since Luismi's goal in the 37th minute, the tricolours were clearly superior to their rival and only the lack of success in the final shot prevented a wider final score.

The first half hour of the match has been quite sleepy with both teams canceling each other out in the pressure and unable to find danger near the rival area. A strike from Álvaro Martín was the only opportunity in the first stretch. But in the 37th minute, Molina quickly served a free kick, Manu Nieto crossed to the edge of the box and Luismi opened the scoreboard with a shot near the post.

From there, Andorra showed its best version and even before the break they were about to double the lead. Sergio Molina stole the ball on the edge of the rival area under good pressure and San Bartolomé fouled him when the tricolour midfielder stood alone in front of the goalkeeper. Incomprehensibly, the referee only showed him a yellow card and, in the subsequent free kick, Morgado found goalkeeper Charly shine.

In the second half, Andorra came out with the same good energy as at the end of the first half and as soon as the game started again Manu Nieto won the duel to the rival defender but could not extend the lead because he found another good save from the visiting goalkeeper, who would be the protagonist in this second half. A minute later, Álvaro Martín ran into a defender in another clear opportunity, but the goal was not long in coming: Álvaro Peña picked up a dead ball outside the area and fired a rocket to score the 2-0 and his third goal in three games at Estadi Nacional.

From there, the tricolours could have extended the score even more in a great second half. Manu Nieto was again close to scoring while Lauti saw as the goalkeeper Charly saved another goal in a clear one-on-one.
