Beto Company: "That's a first step to recover our identity"

These were the statements of the tricolour coach Beto Company in El Toralín press room after Andorra could not get a positive result against Ponferradina.

"As we said in the preview, we had to recover the identity that had brought this club to professional football. We tried to propose situations where we are combinative, aggressive, brave by putting the defensive line in the middle of the field and trying to save ourselves actions in our area which is where we had suffered the most problems, and we wanted to take a first step to recover all this. And I think we did it. Obviously the result is not positive. We leave a fantastic field and against a fantastic team without any points but I have the feeling that we are winning a way of doing things and that it is really a first step".

"It's been a complicated week: it's been difficult to stay focused even though the players have faced it with fantastic professionalism. We come to the field of the second-placed team, a squad with the best streak in recent matches and, obviously, they play, they have put pressure on us and it's been difficult for us to built up the game. However, in the first half there have been situations where we have come out very calmly and arrived comfortably, but in quick situations they have sunk us and, especially with set pieces, we suffered. It's clear that we wanted to do what we did in the second half, but it's not that easy against such a powerful opponent".

"If we look at the statistics: we double them in shots, we have won possession in both halves, we have played in the opponent's field... I think we are talking about a game between two very good teams where the small details decide and it may be that the dynamics end up deciding in the key moments. But I also think that it is the path that must lead us to fight to enter the play-offs".
