Álvaro Peña arrives to add strength to the midfield

Álvaro Peña becomes a new FC Andorra player after the agreement reached between the footballer and the tricolour entity. Peña, who had already finished his time with his previous club Almere City in the Netherlands, is an experienced midfielder with a long career in Spanish football. He signs for one season with another optional.

Álvaro Peña (Bilbao, 24/10/1991) trained in Athletic Club young divisions with whom he made his debut in the Europa League with Marcelo Bielsa on the bench - he played as starter against Israeli Ironi Kiryat Shmona and played a few minutes against Sparta Prague –. But after two seasons in the second team, he began his pilgrimage for different LaLiga 2 teams - apart from two seasons at Racing de Santander, in 2a división B - such as Lugo, Alcorcón, Albacete, Mirandés and Amorbieta

The midfielder, who also stands out for his goal-scoring ability – 33 goals in his career – has played the last two seasons in the Netherlands in the ranks of Almere City with whom he achieved promotion to the top flight in his first year being an important player - 31 games, all starters, and 5 goals -. And this season, they achieved the stay in the category without much suffering.
