A comeback that ensures victory

FC Andorra made its home debut with victory, in the second match of the preseason. Nacho Castro’s team beat CF Martorell 2-1 thanks to the goals scored by David Ballarín and Carlos Martínez.

The match began with a very brave CF Martorell, pressing the tricolor ball out with great intensity. This fact caused FC Andorra not to reach Baquero’s goal with danger. Likewise, the catalan team went ahead on the scoreboard thanks to Güell who scored the first goal of the match.

When the half hour of the game arrived, the tricolours met again with their game and began to approach the area. Sergi Serrano, very active on the left wing, with a good individual play, culminated a center to the first post that Ballarín finished off at the back of the net. The aragonese player headed the equalizer and his first goal for FC Andorra. Although some last occasions, the match arrived at the half time with a draw in the score.

At the restart, to the rotation that the tricolor coach is defending this preseason, Nacho Castro gave minutes to the rest of the players.

With the entry of Pau Martínez, Rai Marchan, Adri Lledó, David Martin, Victor Casadesús and Carlos Martínez, the team took the lead in the game. This fell with insistence to the left side, where the arrivals of David Martin and Marti Vila generated much danger to the visiting area. In the 55th minute, the game was stopped due to the intense hail fall. However, the match resumed five minutes later.

In the final stretch of the match, FC Andorra stepped up his game and took absolute control of the ball. In the 69th minute, Riverola provoked a penalty, however Carlos Martinez failed to score it. But five minutes later, the same players managed to seal the tricolor comeback. Riverola kicked a foul in the left side of the Martorell’s area that Carlos Martinez finished off to score the second and last goal.

The tricolours sealed the second victory this preseason, having a good debut in Prada de Moles months after the COVID-19 break.
