FC Andorra and Miguel Bañuz have reached an agreement to sign a contract extension for the following 20/21 season.

In statements for the club, the goalkeeper had declared his happiness: “I’m  delighted to continue at FC Andorra next season. To me, it’s been a complicated year because I wasn’t playing much at first, although I kept working hard with my teammates and the staff. When Nacho came, he gave me the opportunity and I was feeling confident to play what was left of the season”. The 26 years old goalkeeper remarked on the importance of the country in the decision: “Andorra has welcomed me with open arms. I adapted really well to the country and I’m very happy living here”.

Lastly, Bañuz has also remarked on the importance of the ambitious project at FC Andorra in singing the contract extension: “The project and the promotion goal have motivated me to stay. When you’re 19,  you always dream to sign and play for an ambitious team and I think I’ve achieved it coming here. The ambition to improve  is enormous, this is the objective of the project and I think it’s the best place to grow professionally”.

Miguel Bañuz has played 5 games this season, playing both Copa del Rey games and the lasts two league matches before the COVID-19 break, one in which he stopped a decisive penalty kick at the Rico Perez Stadium in the game against Hercules CF.
